![]() In what seems to be a flash, it is already show time in Las Vegas. To all our clients and prospective customers that are planning to attend, I wish you all a safe trip and a productive and enjoyable show. Many great things have been happening here at Innovative CAD Technologies. It has been a very exciting couple of months. All our systems are up and running and many of the kinks that inevitably happen when starting from scratch have been resolved. Our design team is busy day after day and the prototyping machines are buzzing. The results of our casting systems have been great, for the most part. The usual platinum issues come and go. We continue to work at maintaining a consistent result. Perhaps, one of our concerns is the level of quality that we consider acceptable. We will not ship anything that isn’t up to our high standards for quality. Now the biggest news! Our website is up and running! I am so excited about it. Please take a moment to check it out at www.innocadtech.com. I want to thank my staff for their valuable input to this project and also my team of web designers. They have done a fantastic job. Although it is now open and filled with content, it still is a work in progress. I believe that a website can never be a stagnant entity but must always transform itself with more and more information and utility for our clients to utilize. In a few weeks, we will have photographs of our new, state of the art facility which I am confident you will enjoy viewing. I want to take this opportunity to thank my loyal clients for their support and business and I encourage those who have yet to try us to give Innovative CAD Technologies a chance to show you the difference between true professionals and all the other service bureaus in the industry. I hope you all had a great Memorial Day and I look forward to being in touch with you in my next newsletter. Most appreciatively, Gary
The principles of induction heating The induction principle is optimal for melting metals. The crucible is positioned in the core of the induction coil so that a steady temperature can directly be generated in the melting material. Because of the strong magnetic field the liquid metal will be mixed intensively. The so called inductive bath movement makes the production of pre-alloys unnecessary
INDUTHERM machines are suitable to melt and cast metals of high melting temperature. According to the model, they can also melt steel. Also alloys or metal with a low melting point such as Aluminum may be easily processed with them.
The basic idea of the INDUTHERM vacuum/pressure casting machines is to close the cover and start the heating up once the machine has been filled with casting material. The temperature may be selected by hand or it may be programmed depending on the model you are working with.
The material is molten under protective gas to avoid oxidation. The melting procedure may be observed through the looking glass. The crucible is placed centrally in the upper part of the air-tight closed
The vacuum avoids bubbles and porosity. Afterwards the vacuum chamber is opened and the flask may be removed. Most machines are equipped with a flask lift which pushes the flask towards the caster. This simplifies the removal of the flask.

In the meantime the flask with the heated up casting form is placed in the lower part of the aluminum case (vacuum chamber).
